PRELIM
We did a Prelim, what was supposed to help us get used to using the editing software, Final Cut Pro X. We could be as creative as we wanted, as we did this to understand how FCPX worked. We explored the use of titles, sound and editing. For the titles, we typed up what we wanted to say and copied it over the top in red, so that it appeared to have a shadow. We downloaded fonts from the internet. In regards to sound, we for the background sound and for the explosion, we found them both on YouTube and put them into an MP3 converter. We also did a voice over for the end of the prelim. For the editing, we tried to create a match-on-action cut with the door opening as well as the conversation. We also found a green screen video of an explosion on YouTube and converted it to an MP4 and imported it into FCPX. We transformed the clip to where we wanted it to be and added the keyer effect.
